My Story

Born in Mozambique in 1962, my journey began when I fled to Portugal in 1974 during the country's independence. It was the first of many flights that would define my life.

In 1985, I moved to the USA, but Portugal never left my heart. In 1996, I founded Portugal Auto Rentals to help travelers discover the country I love.

They call me "Flying Tuga" because I'm always in the air - between Portugal, the USA, and my favorite city in the world: Tokyo. After all these years, the world still amazes me.
